Nina-Marie Daniele recently shared her reaction to Israel Adesanya’s heartfelt words to his family at the UFC 305 presser, which saw the former middleweight champion get emotional whilst speaking.
This weekend, Adesanya is set to make his highly anticipated return to the octagon when he faces Dricus du Plessis. The South African will be putting his 185-pound title on the line, with the pair headlining the action at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia.
Ahead of their bout, Adesanya and du Plessis took part in the pre-fight press conference, which saw the pair trade words. A comment was then made by ‘Stillknocks’ regarding ‘The Last Stylebender’s’ family, which struck a nerve and saw Adesanya become emotional.
He took the mic and passionitely stated that everything he does is for his family:
“He [du Plessis] touched a subject there because I do this for my family. I do this for the people I love. [Pointing at his family in the crowd] I will fight for you forever, I swear to god.”
Nina-Marie Daniele, who was sitting in the front row of the presser, shared the clip of Israel Adesanya’s speech to her Instagram, opting to praise him for the raw emotion he showed. She wrote:
“Passion is the source of our finest moments. Unapologetically human. Whatever happens this weekend, this moment feels like it means more. Good luck to both fighters this week.
Israel Adesanya praises Nina-Marie Daniele after back-and-forth with a reporter
Israel Adesanya recently praised Nina-Marie Daniele for her interviewing skills following a verbal exchange he had with a reporter during UFC 305’s media day.
During his media obligations, Adesanya grew tired of a reporter who repeated a question about Dana White’s statement that Sean Strickland will be facing the winner of him vs. Dricus du Plessis. ‘The Last Stylebender’ became iritated because he had already addressed the topic.
Following it, Adesanya then took to X and asked Daniele to release the full interview he had done with her earlier in the day. He went on to express that his chat with Daniele had been the best interiew he had done the entire week:
“Speaking of reporters, I’m not one for drama, but @ninamdrama had one of the better ones this week. Drop the full interview between you and I. Raw, no condom.”
