34-year-old female star reveals Shaquille O’Neal texted her after she got released by WWE

Shaquille O’Neal is no stranger to the world of WWE. A former WWE Superstar recently revealed that the NBA legend reached out to her after she got released by the Stamford-based promotion.

Mandy Rose was seen as a top talent in WWE who was moved to NXT to improve her skills. The 34-year-old formed the Toxic Attraction on the developmental brand and went on to win the NXT Women’s Championship to silence her critics.

In December 2022, Mandy Rose’s career came to a surprise end after WWE released her from her contract. Many personalities from within the industry and outside it supported Rose after the company relieved her of her duties.

Shaquille O’Neal was one of the biggest names who texted the former NXT Women’s Champion after her release. While speaking to the I-95 Morning Show, Mandy Rose stated that it was not creepy or anything. Instead, the four-time NBA champion probably felt bad for her after reading the reports and wanted to show some support.

“Shaq. But it wasn’t creepy or anything, it was when I got released. Super cool guy, I’ve heard really great things about him. I think I met him in person like once. It was when I got released and the news articles and all of these crazy things are coming out. It was really sweet, he just messaged me and was like hang in there, you’re amazing, love you kid or something like you’ll be fine. It’s one of those things, he must have seen something and probably felt bad. That was really cool,” Mandy Rose said. [H/T Ringside News]

Mandy Rose is enjoying her work outside the Stamford-based promotion. It is unclear whether she will ever return to the company or join another promotion to get back in the ring.

Shaquille O’Neal has worked with WWE in the past

Shaquille O’Neal is best known as a four-time NBA champion. The legendary Basketball player has found many different ways to entertain his fans both on and off the Basketball court.

In 2016, Shaq competed in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32. He had a staredown with the Big Show during the match before being eliminated by the other wrestlers.

That is not all, though, as Shaquille O’Neal has also worked with some current WWE Superstars during their time in AEW. In 2021, he teamed up with Jade Cargill to face Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet on an episode of Dynamite.

Cargill and Cody are both working with WWE now where they are seen as two of the top superstars in the company. It will be great to see Shaquille O’Neal make an in-ring appearance again.
