WWE Superstar Roman Reigns also reacted to his uncle’s passing
Afa was one of the senior members of the influential Anoa’i family, and his passing elicited several reactions from his family members. Roman Reigns, who lost his father just a few weeks back, broke his silence on Afa’s passing with an emotional tribute on Twitter a few hours back.
The Original Tribal Chief named Sika and Afa the “greatest tag team of their generation” and mentioned they were reunited in heaven.
“Our family has suffered another great loss with the passing of my uncle and WWE Hall of Famer, Gataivasā Afa Amituana’i Anoa’i. We thank everyone for their support and are comforted by the fact that he now rests in peace. Afa and my father, Pola’ivao Leati Sika Anoa’I were loving brothers, the greatest tag team of their generation, and now they’re reunited together in heaven,” wrote Roman Reigns.
Afa and Sika, aka The Wild Samoans, were three-time WWE Tag Team Champions and were deservingly inducted into the coveted Hall of Fame in 2007.
