“They’ve so lowered the bar”- 34-year-old star returning to WWE ring after 5 years is a bad idea, as per veteran(Exclusive)

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo shared his thoughts on Uncle Howdy making his in-ring debut on RAW next week. The 34-year-old will face Chad Gable in a singles match.

Uncle Howdy recently made his return to WWE programming, leading the Wyatt Sicks faction. The sinister group has targeted Chad Gable since their debut and even defeated the American Made in a six-man tag team match. The two will finally get a chance to settle their differences inside the squared circle in a singles match next week.

Vince Russo, who has always been an advocate of the Wyatt Sicks being a special attraction, sounded firmly against the debut of Uncle Howdy on RAW next week. Here’s what the former WWE head writer had to say on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Legion of RAW:

“Can me and Chris [Dr. Chris Featherstone, the host] make something perfectly clear? If you watch this show every week, you don’t have to be a rocket scientist. We told you about the Wyatt Sicks. Dr. Chris said freaking Uncle Howdy was gonna be in the ring in a month. I mean come on guys, this is what I am talking about. I gotta argue with people like Disco Inferno that this is a good television show? They’ve so lowered the bar. They actually have people convinced that this is a good show.” [17:43 onwards]

It has already been revealed that Bo Dallas is the man behind the mask of Uncle Howdy. The 34-year-old has not competed inside the WWE ring in nearly five years.
