UFC President Dana White has once again declared Jon Jones as the greatest fighter of all time, and he’s not afraid to back up his claim. In a recent interview, White lashed out at those who doubt Jones’ GOAT status, vowing to deliver a “nice little punch in the face” to those who continue to deny his greatness.
White’s passion for Jones is undeniable, and he’s often gone out of his way to defend the champion. Appearing in a recent presser, the UFC CEO said:
“I know the whole Internet. Oh, John Jones, you f**ing, you know, that I’m up Jon Jones’ a**. These are f**king facts. And since everybody has been such douchebags about this, I’m coming out with a nice little punch in the face for all you f**kers that think that Jon Jones isn’t the greatest. Dislike him, whatever your beef is with Jon Jones, knock yourself out.”
Jones has dominated the light heavyweight division throughout his career, winning the title at the young age of 23 and successfully defending it 11 times. Despite being stripped of the title on three separate occasions due to various controversies, Jones has always managed to reclaim his throne and cement his legacy as one of the greatest fighters in UFC history.
In his most recent fight, Jones made a successful transition to heavyweight, defeating Ciryl Gane to capture the title. He is now set to defend his title against former champion Stipe Miocic later this year.
Dana White confident about the Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall fight
Appearing in the same media interaction, Dana White also shed light on the potential Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall fight. White believes Jones would be interested in the fight, and he guaranteed that it would happen.
Speaking to the media, he said:
“There is no way in hell that Jon Jones doesn’t want to fight Aspinall. So that I guarantee you.”
Aspinall has quickly risen through the ranks of the UFC’s heavyweight division and is considered a promising contender for the title.
