ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 booked his shot at Jonathan Haggerty’s ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship at ONE 168: Denver on Sept. 6 inside the Ball Arena with an incredible run of victories.
Dating back to his unanimous decision victory over Taiki Naito in May 2022, ‘The Kicking Machine’ has been undefeated in his last 10 fights. This run includes standout performances over ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Japanese megastar Takeru Segawa.
Superlek recently reflected on his triumphs over ‘The Iron Man’ and ‘The Natural Born Crusher’ in a video shared by ONE on YouTube.
Though Superlek is one of the most electrifying strikers under the ONE banner, Takeru showed a potential hole in the Kiatmoo9 Gym product’s game.
In their ONE flyweight kickboxing world championship clash this past January at ONE 165, the Team Vasileus product threw a barrage of body blows in the third round, staggering Superlek in the process.
Haggerty, who also holds the ONE bantamweight kickboxing world championship, has noted Superlek’s susceptibility to body shots, which could prove vital to his chances of successfully defending the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship at ONE 168.
