The $1.3 billion-worth brand per Forbes first teamed up with Lillard in 2021. At the start of their partnership, Oakley re-issued two pairs of the “X Metal Romeo and Juliet” sunglasses. The Milwaukee Bucks star wasn’t the only player to sign the box as former NBA star Scottie Pippen was also part of the fun.

The brand also helped out in Lillard’s program called RESPECT. Oakley contributed $140,000 to the program that strives to empower high school students to stay in school.

“I strive to be the best on the basketball court but I also work hard to give back to my community and help foster the education of future generations,” Lillard said in a press release, per Rolling Stone. “Oakley understands what I want to accomplish both professionally and personally so I’m looking forward to being the new face of Oakley basketball.”

BAPE x Adidas Dame 9 will feature three colorways for Damian Lillard’s signature shoe

Damian Lillard and BAPE worked together back in 2018 for the Dame 4. Now, they’re back together as they work on his ninth signature shoe. Their latest collaboration will feature three exciting colorways.

“Core Black” and “Better Scarlet” will be available for fans on August 31, 2024. Unfortunately, the price for the sneakers hasn’t been released to the public yet.

The collection will also feature an “Olympics” colorway. Unlike the first two colorways, however, this will be exclusive for friends and family.

The Adidas Dame 9 is set to release later this year. The brand has teased the new pair of basketball shoes for their star athlete on social media. The shoes show off a confident red colorway.
