“I’m ready a hundred percent” – Johan Ghazali says coming out to Denver to acclimate to elevation is key to victory at ONE 168

17-year-old Malaysian teenage rising star ‘Jojo’ Johan Ghazali says he is very familiar with the challenges competing in elevation in Denver presents. That is why he has chosen to come out to the Mile High City early to acclimate.

Ghazali is coming off the first setback in his professional fighting career and wants to make a good impression in his comeback fight. ‘Jojo’ has his eyes on a statement-making victory, and can’t wait to put on a show.

Speaking to the South China Morning Post in a recent interview, Ghazali revealed he has been in Denver for a couple of weeks already, getting ready for his debut on U.S. soil.

‘Jojo’ said:

“I’ve been training hard. I came out here to Denver to acclimatize, to just get ready. Because I know that in Muay Thai and these 4-ounce gloves, anything can happen. So I’m ready a hundred percent.”

‘Jojo’ Johan Ghazali is set to lock horns with ‘Tuzo’ Josue Cruz in a three-round flyweight Muay Thai contest at ONE 168: Denver, which broadcasts live from the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado on Friday, Sept. 6.

Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all the action live and absolutely free on Amazon Prime Video. Those who want to watch in-stadium can secure tickets via Ticketmaster. Limited seats are available.
