Kobe Bryant continues to have his memory honored by his family, teammates and Mamba fans around the world, especially on ‘Mamba Day’ – 8/24.
The Los Angeles Dodgers honored the late Lakers legend on Sunday, August 25, with the ‘Kobe Bryant Jersey Day’, giving attending fans Kobe Bryant jerseys and raising funds for the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation.
The jerseys featured a No. 8 on the front with a No. 24 on the back and a Dodgers script in gold across the chest. The jerseys also featured a “KB” patch on the sleeves.
Kobe’s wife Vannessa and their kids Natalia, Bianka and Capri attended the ceremony before the Dodgers’ game versus the Tampa Bay Rays and donned their own Kobe Bryant jerseys.

The Dodgers honored Kobe with a 3-1 win over the Rays, with Enrique Hernandez dedicating his performance to Kobe after the game.
Hernandez, who happens to wear the No. 8 for the Dodgers, hit a one-run homer in the fifth inning to put the first run on the board for either team. Mookie Betts followed that up with a home run of his own in the eighth inning, putting Los Angeles ahead 3-1.
Vanessa and Natiala Bryant looked on as Bianka Bryant threw out the first pitch and Capri Bryant made the “It’s time for Dodger baseball” announcement.

The Dodgers weren’t the only ones to celebrate the NBA Hall of Famer, as the NBA, the Lakers and players from around the league celebrated Kobe Bryant on his birthday on August 23.
The Lakers wished Bryant a Happy Birthday on X, in a post that quickly went viral as fans joined the league and its personnel in honoring the late legend.
NBA players like LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Scottie Pippen and Magic Johnson also made posts on social media to honor Kobe.
