NBA 2K25 is set to release on September 6. Ahead of it’s release, NBA 2K has complied a list of the top 10 players with the highest ratings.

Below is the list of 10 NBA players with the highest ratings in the upcoming video game.

#10 Anthony Davis – 94

Last season, Anthony Davis was one of the best players in the NBA on both ends of the floor. Davis averaged 24.7 points per game while he shot 55.6% from the three-point line.

Davis was also in the conversation for the Defensive Player of the Year Award. In 76 games, he averaged 2.3 blocks per game, which was fourth-best in the league. Although the Lakers were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, Davis remained the most important player on his team.

Kevin Durant is one of the most complete players in the league. Although Durant has been compromised on defense, he remains one of the top players in the NBA. Durant and the Phoenix Suns had a difficult run in the playoffs last season; however, amidst his team’s struggles, Durant remained the best player.

Last season, Durant played 75 games averaging 27.1 points per game. KD shot 52.3% from the field and 41.3% from the three-point line. He also averaged 0.9 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game.

Last season, Tatum averaged 26.9 points per game, while shooting 47.1% from the field and 37.6% shooting from the three-point line. He also registered 8.1 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.0 steals per game.

The hero of the 2024 Paris Olympics, Steph Curry has been the best player for the Golden State Warriors for almost a decade now. Although the Warriors are no longer as dominant, Curry’s game hasn’t seen any decline.

Last season, Curry averaged 26.4 points per game while shooting 45.0% from the field and 40.8% from beyond the arc. Although Curry’s individual numbers pose questions over his ranking, his contribution is more impactful than what the stats reveal.

#6 LeBron James – 95

Ideally, a 39-year-old LeBron James should not have been on the list, but the Lakers superstar is a master at breaking barriers and setting up new narratives. Despite being almost 40-years-old, LeBron James remains one of the best players in the NBA.

Last season, he averaged 25.7 points per game, while shooting 54.0% from the field and 41.0% from the three-point line. James was also ranked fifth in the league in assists per game with 8.3.

If Joel Embiid had not been injured, a fair argument could have been made for his second back-to-back MVP award. He is the best offensive player in the league. Embiid was putting historical numbers on the stat sheet before he faced a knee injury.

Last season, in 39 games, Embiid averaged 34.7 points per game, 52.9% shooting from the field, and 38.8% shooting from the three-point line. He was also averaging 11.0 rebounds, 1.7 blocks, and 1.2 assists per game.

Last season, he averaged 30.1 points per game while shooting 53.5% from the floor; these are significant numbers for someone who is not a center. He also led the league in steals per game with 2, while averaging 6.2 assists per game.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had the second-highest points per game in the league last season, only behind Luka Doncic. He averaged 30.4 points per game while shooting 61.1% from the floor.

He was just as impactful on the defensive side averaging 1.2 steals and 1.1 blocks per game. Although the Bucks didn’t have a successful season, Antetokounmpo elevated his game when the team needed him most.

Before leading the Mavs to the NBA Finals last season, Doncic led the league in points per game in the regular season. He averaged 33.9 points per game while he shot 48.7% from the field and 38.2% from the three-point line.

He was also second in the league behind Tyrese Haliburton in assists per game a 9.8. Doncic almost averaged triple-double in the season with 9.2 rebounds per game, while also leading the NBA in scoring.

The reigning MVP has been the best player in the NBA in the past few years. The Jokic-led Denver Nuggets had the best record in the Western Conference, tied with the OKC Thunder.

Jokic averaged 26.4 points per game while knocking down 58.3% of his shots. He also averaged 12.4 rebounds and 9.0 assists per game in 79 games last season.
