Dana White reacts to “awesome” Merab Dvalishvili cutting his own stitches: “I think he’s just f**king with me now”

Dana White has once again expressed his bemusement at the antics of bantamweight contender Merab Dvalishvili. This time, White’s attention has been drawn to a video of Dvalishvili removing his own stitches with a large pair of scissors just weeks before his highly anticipated title fight against Sean O’Malley.

White, who has invested heavily in the UFC 306 pay-per-view, appeared to be taken aback by Dvalishvili’s unorthodox approach to post-surgery recovery. The UFC CEO couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of the situation, suggesting that Dvalishvili might be intentionally trying to get under his skin.

Appearing in a recent presser, he said:

“Isn’t he awesome? I think he’s just f**king with me now, to be honest with you. Have you ever seen the scissors they take stitches out with? They’re tiny and they have that thing, so you don’t cut yourself. They can slide them up under the stitches and this dude had f**king bush shears that he was using… That you trim your f**king bushes with. Whatever, good for him.”

Sean O’Malley predicts a violent knockout victory over Merab Dvalishvili

Sean O’Malley has painted a vivid picture of his upcoming fight against Merab Dvalishvili, predicting a brutal knockout win over the Georgian fighter. The bantamweight champion is set to face Dvalishvili in a title fight at UFC 306 next month.

O’Malley and Dvalishvili have been engaged in a heated rivalry in the lead-up to their fight, with personal insults and threats of violence exchanged between the two. Given their animosity, it’s no surprise that O’Malley is seeking a decisive victory.

During a recent podcast episode, Sugar’ shared his prediction for the fight. He envisions a scenario where he hurts Dvalishvili early on before delivering a devastating knockout blow. He drew a comparison to Li Jingliang’s knockout win over Mike Perry, highlighting the possibility of multiple strikes leading to a brutal finish.

“I know I’m going to hurt him eventually. At one point, I’m going to hurt him, but then it could turn into a brutal just KO, just an absolute not a good weight cut, not a good camp, and he just gets slept bad, like that [Li] Jingliang. Like one of those, five or six punches just to add up, and the last one just puts him to the canvas snoring. Nose crooked, cats screaming.”
