Election interference and treason” — Former NBA player Enes Freedom flames Mark Zuckerberg for ‘admitting’ Facebook censorship

Since becoming a United States citizen, Enes Freedom has gone on numerous political rants. The former NBA center was at it again, sharing his thoughts on a recent scandal regarding censorship.

Earlier this week, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg released a statement that his company was “pressured” by President Joe Biden’s administration to censor things regarding COVID-19. Meta owns two of the most popular social media platforms, Facebook and Instagram.

Following this news, Freedom was interviewed on Fox News about his thoughts on the matter.

“To me, this is election interference and treason,” Freedom said. “I hear many people saying that this is a crime against humanity.”

“This is complete, complete direct violation of the First Amendment and it’s unacceptable.”

Before changing his name, Freedom went be Enes Kanter in the NBA. He enjoyed an 11-year career after being drafted third overall in 2011. The last time Freedom was on a roster was in 2022 when he played 35 games for the Boston Celtics.

This is far from the first time Freedom has spoken out against a high-profile person in the United States. In the past, one of his main targets has been LA Lakers star LeBron James.

Enes Freedom spoke out against LeBron James being flag bearer at 2024 Olympics

As mentioned previously, Enes Freedom has spoken out against LeBron on numerous occasions. The most recent instance was earlier this summer, leading up to the Summer Olympics in Paris.

LeBron was one of the numerous NBA stars who agreed to compete for Team USA in the Summer Games. On top of this, he received the special honor of being one of two flag bearers for the United States in the opening ceremony. Gymnast Simone Biles was the other flag bearer.

While many reacted positively to James being a flag bearer, Freedom was among those who didn’t. He was outraged that someone who allegedly “trashes America” now gets to carry the flag on the Olympic stage.

“The one athlete who trashes America and disrespects the flag is the now the one who wants to carry it at the Olympics,” Freedom wrote on X.

This is one of many harsh accusations Freedom has made about LeBron. Before his rant about the Olympics, he took aim at the 20-time All-Star for the Lakers’ offseason moves. Freedom referred to LeBron as a “dictator” in the NBA and that Bronny James and JJ Redick are only in LA because of him.
