Reigning and undisputed ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion ‘The General’ Jonathan Haggerty of the United Kingdom says he has finally discovered glaring holes in Superlek Kiatmoo9’s game that will help seal the victory for him next weekend.
Haggerty and Superlek are due for a highly anticipated rematch, with ‘The Kicking Machine’ winning their first encounter in 2018. ‘The General’ says the outcome of their second battle will be much different.
Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Haggerty shared his thoughts on the upcoming fight with Superlek.
‘The General’ stated:
“I believe in my coach, Christian Knowles, and he watches Superlek quite a lot, and we implement it in training a lot, not giving too much away. We know what his weaknesses are and his strengths. He likes his right side. His right side is his best attributes – his kicks, his elbows. So we’re here to exploit them on September 6.”
Needless to say, Haggerty is riding high on a wave of confidence befitting of a two-sport world champion and says he will beat Superlek once and for all when they meet in the world’s largest martial arts organization.
