Japanese megastar Takeru Segawa has one of the most debilitating liver kicks on the planet. This week, the kickboxing striker demonstrated just how he unleashes hell with a step-by-step process on none other than ONE commentator Mitch Chilson.
According to Takeru, the first thing to do is to bring your rear foot forward, then, lean back for momentum as you use the ball of your foot to connect to the body.
Attacking the liver is certainly one of Takeru’s greatest weapons. As seen above, the 33-year-old veteran recently used it on Thant Zin a few weeks ago. The Burmese powerhouse just couldn’t continue with the fight, as his whole body contorted in pain.
With his first ONE victory now realized, the question remains: could Takeru pull off the same technique against Rodtang?

Takeru Segawa wants a crack at Rodtang’s flyweight Muay Thai belt for his next fight.
The former K1 world champion wants to finally determine who is the best flyweight Muay Thai fighter in the world with an electrifying face-off with Rodtang as soon as possible.
Both men have already agreed to fight but there’s no announcement yet. Their potential showdown has long been teased by the promotion since Takeru signed a multi-fight deal with ONE Championship last April.
With Takeru’s recent victory last month, it puts some much-needed pressure on the matchmakers to make his fight happen.
