In Pictures: Coco Gauff embraces “70s theme” at her friend’s party, dazzles in stylish disco-inspired flared pants and afro wig

Coco Gauff recently had the opportunity to indulge her love for dressing up at her friend’s party in Florida. The American embraced the 70s theme for the event, donning a chic disco-inspired outfit.

After her success during the Asian swing, Gauff has been enjoying some downtime at home. During her trip to China, the 20-year-old had the chance to don traditional Chinese attire alongside Carlos Alcaraz while visiting the Forbidden City. The visit proved lucky for both players, as Alcaraz clinched the ATP 500 title in Beijing while the American triumphed at the WTA 1000 event.

Since returning home, the World No. 3 has been chronicling her time off on social media. The American has indulged in Wheaties cereal that features her likeness on the box, showed off her favorite room at her house, and opened up about why beach workouts made her dislike living in Florida.

Coco Gauff recently attended her friend’s 70s theme party, embracing the disco theme by donning flared pants, a floral crop top and a black afro wig, posing with her friend.

“70s theme @dejaareed,” Gauff posted on her Instagram story.

“@cocogauff we cute or whatever,” her friend shared.

Coco Gauff: “I really do love fashion, I love makeup; I love that type of thing”

Coco Gauff’s love for fashion hasn’t gone unnoticed by tennis fans, who crowned her the ‘fashion icon’ on social media. The 20-year-old previously expressed her delight that her style wasn’t lost on her supporters.

Speaking to the press before the 2023 US Open, the American opened up about potentially channeling her passion for fashion and makeup into a business venture outside of tennis. However, Gauff disclosed that she hadn’t found the right project to build into a personal brand.

“Yeah, that’s something that I’ve been thinking about a lot. I haven’t really found what I’m quite passionate in outside of tennis, to be honest. I mean, I really do love fashion. I love makeup. I love that type of thing. I just haven’t really thought about how I would build that into a brand, per se,” Coco Gauff said.

“But I think it just comes with growth. I mean, I’m at the age right now where I’m really trying to find myself I guess outside of tennis because I do want to venture out into other things. I just haven’t found what really speaks to me,” she added.

Coco Gauff will be back in action at the 2024 WTA Finals in Riyadh, competing alongside Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina and Jessica Pegula, among others.
