There is a chance for one reason” – Frank Leboeuf says Cristiano Ronaldo could join Wrexham due to what Portuguese legend told him in interview

Frank Leboeuf has claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo could end up joining Wrexham in the future. He believes that the Portuguese star will become an actor after he retires and that the move to the League One side would be a Hollywood movie plot.

Speaking to SportsCasting, Leboeuf recalled that Ronaldo was not ruling out a career in Hollywood after retirement. He believes that the Portuguese star is clever enough to make a move to Wrexham and end his career with the perfect plot for a movie. He said:

“There is a chance for one reason. In my phone, I have an interview that I made with Ronaldo in the US for ESPN when I asked him if he wanted to be an actor after his career and he said ‘why not?’. I think Ronaldo is clever enough to sign for Wrexham after his career to play in a beautiful Hollywood movie. Why not? If he loves football and wants to play for Wrexham, but at the same time is thinking about being a fantastic actor in Hollywood, I’m fine with that. I love ambition. Ronaldo is a hell of a character so it would be great for Wrexham.”

While Leboeuf believes Ronaldo could move to Wrexham, the former Real Madrid and Manchester United superstar is not thinking of leaving Al Nassr. He has hinted at retiring soon and has already stated that he will not be returning to the European leagues.

Mark Lawrenson not interested in Cristiano Ronaldo to Wrexham talks

Mark Lawrenson was also talking to SportsCasting and dismissed suggestions that Cristiano Ronaldo could end up at Wrexham. The former Liverpool player claimed that the crowd in the stadium is too small for the Portuguese superstar to consider making the move.

He said:

“Anything’s possible in football these days, even Cristiano Ronaldo playing for Wrexham! I would say that it’s highly improbable, he’s more likely to purchase the club than sign for them in my eyes. Wrexham don’t seat much more than 10k in their stadium, I can’t see him playing to such a small audience in all honesty, that said you’d struggle to get a ticket there if he was playing. He’d fill the stadium anywhere he goes.”

Cristiano Ronaldo left England in 2022 after his contract at Manchester United was terminated. Wrexham have been on a fairytale run with back-to-back promotions ever since they were bought by Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds.
