Former WWE head writer Vince Russo feels Jey Uso should not be let down by this week’s Intercontinental Championship loss. WWE already has the star ready for a major storyline with The Bloodline.
Jimmy and Jey Uso have been in a prominent position on the card since The Bloodline storyline started. This week, Jey Uso lost the Intercontinental Championship after the new Bloodline hijacked the show. Solo Sikoa and his henchmen caused a disruption, allowing Bron Breakker to Spear Uso for the win.
On the latest episode of Legion of RAW, Vince Russo claimed that the Intercontinental Championship was not Jey’s reward. He clarified that WWE has rewarded The Usos by featuring them in prominent positions on the card for years. He added that the company allowed them to take major storylines and continue making money in the business they love.
“The reward is how long The Usos have been doing this. That is the reward. How long, they’ve stayed on top, how long they’ve held that job, how long they’ve held a prominent spot in the wrestling business. That’s the reward, that speaks volumes.” [From 6:38 onwards]

Due to Solo Sikoa and the rest of The Bloodline, Jey’s IC title reign ended abruptly at 28 days.
It will be interesting to see if The Bloodline’s actions on RAW push Jey closer to Jimmy Uso and Roman Reigns in the coming weeks.
