Filipina-American striking star and former ONE world title challenger Jackie Buntan is excited for her upcoming showdown with iconic kickboxer ‘C18’ Anissa Meksen early next month.
The 27-year-old Boxing Works star is ready for her second attempt at capturing ONE Championship gold, and she can’t wait to step inside the ring to seize the belt.
Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview, Buntan shared an update on her preparations for the kickboxing world title showdown with Meksen.
The California resident said:
“I’m doing great, preparation has been going great as well. Things have been going smoothly.”
Buntan added:
“I was excited, you know, I’ve been calling for a kickboxing fight. After my last fight in March, I called for the kickboxing fight and they gave me a belt and you know a fantastic opponent along with that. So, I was very happy. This is the type of fight I want, this is the type of fight any fighter needs in order to solidify their name in the sport.”
Needless to say, this is a massive opportunity for Buntan. Not only does she have the chance to finally capture the ONE world title. She also has a chance to add beating Meksen to her growing list of achievements.
