Mikey Williams, the UCF freshman and former high school star, recently shared his personal “Mt. Rushmore” of NBA GOATs on Angel Reese’s Unapologetically Angel podcast. Interestingly, Williams did not include four-time NBA champion Stephen Curry, instead choosing to honor LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He expressed admiration for the “aura” and unique qualities that players like Jordan had, describing that “factor” that made them special on the court.
While Curry’s absence from his list is surprising given their similar scoring ability, Williams explained that, with so many great players to choose from, his picks reflect personal preferences and what resonates with him as a player.
Mikey Williams, who is recovering from a foot injury, is expected to play a key role for UCF this season, following a legal issue that had delayed his college career. After being sentenced to probation and having his felony charge reduced, he transferred from Memphis to UCF, where he is reportedly making a strong impression on and off the court.
