The scam reportedly involved an impersonator posing as Alexa Bliss, who manipulated Alfred Mancinelli, a man in his 70s, into transferring nearly $1 million in retirement savings. Unfortunately, Mancinelli is no longer alive, and the case has only recently come to light.
Dutch Mantell, speaking on Sportskeeda’s SmackTalk, expressed surprise at the news and pointed out that Vince McMahon, had he been in charge, would likely have turned such an incident into an angle on WWE television. Mantell also warned about the dangers of online scams, emphasizing that people should be cautious and not trust anyone they encounter online.
