A Manchester United player is rumored to have made a surprise move to Italian powerhouses.

Inter Milan are reportedly monitoring Manchester United defender Victor Lindelöf as a potential defensive reinforcement for the 2024 summer transfer window. According to a report by Inter Live (via The Hard Tackle), Lindelöf’s contract with United is set to expire next summer, making him an attractive, cost-effective option for Inter. The Swedish center-back has struggled for game time at Old Trafford this season, amassing only 293 minutes in seven appearances due to increased competition following Matthijs de Ligt’s arrival.

Since joining Manchester United from Benfica in 2017 for €35 million, Lindelöf has featured in 266 games, contributing 11 goals and assists combined. However, the club has yet to offer him a contract extension, allowing clubs like Inter Milan to target him as a free agent. Inter view the experienced 29-year-old as a potential boost to their defensive depth.

In a separate transfer development, Manchester United have reportedly initiated talks with Sporting CP regarding a potential move for Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres. As per Plettigoal (via Transfer News Live), the Red Devils are keen on acquiring Gyökeres, who has been in scintillating form this season. The 26-year-old forward has already netted 24 goals and provided four assists in 21 appearances across competitions for Sporting.

Gyökeres, contracted with Sporting until 2028, has attracted interest from other European giants, including Arsenal and Barcelona. Any deal for the prolific striker would require United to offload players to make room financially. Given his contract length and current form, Gyökeres is expected to command a significant transfer fee, further intensifying competition among interested clubs.
