According to reports, Liverpool has identified a 22-year-old Algerian forward as a potential Mohamed Salah successor.

Liverpool are reportedly targeting Anis Hadj Moussa, the 22-year-old Feyenoord forward, as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah. Hadj Moussa, who joined Feyenoord from Belgian club Patro Eisden for £1.5 million in the summer, has made an immediate impact, scoring four goals in 14 appearances across competitions, including four starts. His performances have drawn interest from Liverpool, with Reds head coach Arne Slot having previously expressed interest in the player during his time at Feyenoord.

Feyenoord manager Brian Priske has praised Hadj Moussa for his growth, particularly for his discipline, mindset, and improving effectiveness in attack. He highlighted that the winger’s ability to make the right decisions, rather than relying solely on tricks, has been crucial, especially in the Champions League where opportunities can be limited.

Hadj Moussa also had a successful loan spell at Vitesse Arnhem last season, where he scored two goals and provided two assists in 15 appearances.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah, who recently helped Liverpool to a 2-0 victory over Manchester City with a goal and an assist, has hinted at his future with the club. When asked about his long-term plans, Salah mentioned that he has been enjoying his time at Liverpool and expressed hope that the team can win the league, leaving his future open-ended. With 13 goals and 11 assists in 20 matches this season, Salah’s future at the club remains uncertain.
