Nabil Anane acknowledges he has no strategy against previous champion Petchtanong, saying, “I don’t mean to brag or anything.”

Nabil Anane, the towering six-foot Muay Thai phenom, is gearing up for his highly anticipated ONE Championship kickboxing debut against former bantamweight king Petchtanong Petchfergus at ONE Fight Night 26 on December 6, 2024. Despite the excitement surrounding his first fight in the organization, Anane admits he has no specific game plan for the showdown. Instead, he relies on his adaptability and willingness to experiment with different styles during his bouts.

In an interview with ONE Championship, the 20-year-old fighter explained his mindset, stating, “I don’t know what to say because my style is to figure it out on the stage. And I can adjust my training in every style… I’m a fighter who always keeps changing styles.” Anane added that he enjoys the challenge of constantly evolving his approach in the ring, using a trial-and-error method to find what works in each fight.

Anane’s height and reach have given opponents trouble in the past, with the exception of two-sport champion Superlek Kiatmoo9. However, Petchtanong presents a unique challenge for the young fighter. If Anane can secure a win against Petchtanong, it would mark a major milestone in his career and showcase his potential in the kickboxing arena.

The fight will take place at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, and fans in North America can watch the action live and for free with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
