CM Punk’s WWE return is still one of the hottest topics in the wrestling industry. Shawn Michaels recently confirmed why The Best in the World has been announced for an upcoming WWE show.
Michaels has been leading NXT in the right direction for a couple of years, and the show is ready to switch from the USA Network to CW Network later this year. The change will be massive for the brand.
Shawn Michaels recently confirmed that NXT will travel to celebrate the network change. The inaugural event will be held on October 1 at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois. CM Punk has been announced for the show and will likely make it a big deal.

“Well look, I’ll tell you what, as soon as this announcement came out, (CM) Punk texted me and he was like, ‘Anything I can do? Any opportunity? Anything that I could do. Any role,’ and look, for us, for NXT, one, he’s just been an incredible supporter of NXT since he’s been back and I have to say that when he heard about this event, he volunteered himself,” he said.
Shawn Michaels added that the details of his involvement in the show haven’t been ironed out yet.
“Right now, we’re still kind of working that out but I’m telling you, you have the opportunity to have one of the biggest global superstars in all of WWE offer to be a part of your show, clearly, you take advantage of that so, we’re certainly gonna do that. He’s gonna have a major role. We haven’t quite defined what that is yet. But I can promise you, it’ll be something big going down on October 1st with CM Punk in NXT,” he said. [H/T Ringside News]
