Martial arts was always going to be an integral aspect of life for Adrian Lee because of the family he was born into. As the youngest of all the Lee siblings, he watched on during his teenage years at the success that they would go on to have in combat sports.
His parents had raised their family on the mats because martial arts wasn’t just a passion for them, it was a profession and the same can be said today for their youngest son.
However, even with being around it constantly in his early years, becoming a professional fighter wasn’t always at the forefront of Lee’s plans when he was growing up. He of course had other passions in life and for him, he originally wanted to chase a dream that many his age would share.
During a recent interview with ESPN Honolulu, he spoke about how gaming was his original chosen career path:
“I wanted to play video games as a profession. I was obsessed with it growing up but now I’ve moved on.”

Adrian Lee is focused on upcoming matchup heading into Denver
Despite the shift in focus that happened at one stage in his life, it’s safe to say that gaming is no longer in the equation for Adrian Lee. At ONE 167, he made his professional debut in MMA where a second-round submission got him off the mark.
Now he will look to earn his second victory under the ONE Championship banner when taking on Nico Cornejo at ONE 168 on Sept. 6.
The legacy of his family name will continue for many years to come and whilst Adrian has a lot to live up to, his career is sure to be exciting regardless of what happens next when he makes the walk at the Ball Arena in Denver.
