WWE veteran points out the huge mistake the company made with Gunther on RAW (Exclusive)

Gunther has been one of WWE’s top stars in the last couple of years. However, wrestling veteran Vince Russo pointed out a major flaw with The Ring General’s booking on RAW last night.

The Austrian Superstar has been embroiled in a feud with Randy Orton over the last few weeks. The duo will lock horns for the World Heavyweight Championship at Bash in Berlin later this month. Last night on RAW, The Legend Killer faced Ludwig Kaiser in a singles match. During the match, The Ring General was standing ringside, which did not sit well with Vince Russo.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Legion of RAW, the former WWE writer pointed out that The Judgment Day attacked Damian Priest ringside earlier in the show, and thus Adam Pearce should have banned the World Heavyweight Champion to prevent the same from happening with Randy Orton.

“Priest goes out there and on the entrance; he is jumped by all of the Judgement Day. Two matches later, Gunther goes out there and just stands around ringside. Where is Adam Pearce? I am watching the main event, and I am thinking, ‘Why is Gunther allowed to stand out there? Why is he allowed?”‘ he said. [From 51:21 onwards]

The reigning King of the Ring did attack The Viper, but it was after the latter had defeated Ludwig Kaiser. The show went off the air with the two men exchanging blows.
