I’m feeling okay” – Jonathan Haggerty says confidence still strong despite Superlek loss

Jonathan Haggerty has provided fans with an important update on his physical and mental health, following a harrowing first-round knockout loss to Thai rival Superlek Kiatmoo9. Haggerty was put to sleep instantly upon running into a right elbow from his opponent just 49 seconds into the scheduled five-round contest.

Now having a few weeks to internalize the defeat, Haggerty has addressed his current physical and mental state and assures fans that he’s doing just fine.

‘The General’ told Sky Sports MMA Club podcast in a recent guest appearance:

“I’m all for it. I’ve wanted to get in on interviews to tell everyone that I’m feeling okay, I’m still the same person, and I’m doing great. I’m not down in the dumps, and I’m going to be working on myself to be a better fighter, a better person, you know, sky’s the limit.”

Needless to say, Haggerty remains a top draw in the world’s largest martial arts organization, and fans can’t wait to see his next fight in ONE Championship, no matter who is the opponent.
