No reason not to be happy” – Daria Kasatkina and girlfriend Natalia Zabiiako adorably celebrate 3 years of togetherness

Daria Kasatkina shared a heartfelt post this week for her girlfriend and figure skater, Natalia Zabiiako, on the couple’s third anniversary. The Russian player is currently competing at the Ningbo Open 2024, which began on 14 October.

Kasatkina reached the quarterfinals of the event by beating Katerina Siniakova in the second round 1-6, 6-3, 6-2, after her first-round match against Anna Bondar was canceled. She is now set to play in the quarterfinals against Yulia Putintseva on October 18.

Amid her progress in the tournament, she also celebrated her anniversary with Zabiiako. She showcased her love for her other half by sharing an adorable post on Instagram. She shared a series of pictures. In one picture, the couple is seen striking a pose, followed by a picture of Zabiialp holding their puppy. The last picture was of the two sitting on a tennis court.

Natalia Zabiiako also shared an adorable post for Kastakina on Instagram. She posted two pictures, one of the couple posing together and another of them sharing a cute peck on the cheek. She also added a sweet note in the caption, which read:

“Since the moment you came into my life, there is no reason not to be happy💛3💛”

When Daria Kasatkina opened up about positive reactions she got after coming out

Daria Kasatkina came out as gay in 2022, and in January 2023 she spoke about the support she received from the tennis fraternity. She also said she thought that it would be difficult for her initially.

Speaking about receiving positive responses from her colleagues, Kastakina said (via The Guardian),

“That was great because I didn’t face any negativity, especially from the people I know. This topic is very sensitive, so I was ready for some negative reaction, but there was nothing like that. I’m very thankful because that makes me feel so good. Some of the players were coming to me, sometimes they’re still coming to me, to say ‘yeah, it’s cool’ or ‘congrats’ to me. That’s nice.”

She added,

“I remember after saying all these things, I just felt much better. That was one of the best decisions of the last year and I’m happy with the outcome. And thanks to the people who were next to me supporting me.”

Daria Kasatkina has since been public about her relationship with Zabiiako, and the couple frequently shares adorable pictures and videos of each other on social media, from birthdays, anniversaries, or their time together.

On the court, Kasatkina has recently faced some early losses across different tournaments such as the Wuhan Open, the China Open, and the US Open. The Russian player has won seven singles titles and one doubles title on the WTA Tour.
