The most devastating aspect of Stamp Fairtex’s protracted recuperation process is revealed: “I have to build it all again.”

Stamp Fairtex, the reigning ONE atomweight MMA world champion, has been facing significant physical and emotional challenges as she recovers from a severe knee injury. The Thai fighter, who made history as the first-ever three-sport world champion in the promotion, has opened up about the taxing nature of her recovery. In a heartfelt video shared by The Fairtex Training Center, she revealed the mental struggles she faces as she watches her peers continue to improve while she works on rebuilding her strength and skills from scratch.

Stamp explained that at times, she feels like she’s falling behind as other fighters develop more power, muscle, and skills, while she focuses on regaining her fitness. Despite these frustrations, she remains committed to her recovery, balancing physical therapy with efforts to maintain a positive mental attitude.

Unfortunately, her injury, a torn meniscus, forced her to postpone her first defense of her MMA title against Denice Zamboanga. In Stamp’s absence, an interim atomweight MMA world champion will be crowned at ONE Fight Night 27, where Zamboanga will face Alyona Rassohyna in January.
