WATCH: Months after offering “thanks to God” for enabling her to realize her dream, Coco Gauff throws her first-ever “Friendsgiving” in her new home.

**Coco Gauff** recently celebrated a significant milestone in her personal life, hosting her first-ever **”Friendsgiving”** at her new house. The 20-year-old tennis star, who made history in 2023 by winning her first Grand Slam title at the US Open, proudly shared her experience on social media. Gauff revealed she had baked her first **sweet potato pie** and showcased the food spread for the gathering. She noted that it was her first time hosting the event for her cousins and friends, with everyone contributing a dish to the meal.

Earlier in the year, Gauff had shared that she was planning to move out of her parents’ house and live independently. She now resides in **Delray Beach**, Florida, still close to her family. In October, she posted on Instagram about buying her first home, expressing gratitude for the achievement. “Cheers to being a homeowner at 20. All glory to God,” she wrote at the time.

### **Learning to Cook and Living Alone**
Gauff’s new independence comes with its own set of challenges, particularly when it comes to learning new skills like cooking. In an interview after her successful **2024 season**, which included victories at the **WTA 1000** in Beijing and the **WTA Finals** in Riyadh, Gauff opened up about adjusting to life on her own. She shared that while she still practices tennis at her parents’ house, she’s been experimenting with cooking, having previously been accustomed to her parents handling most of the meals.

*”Obviously, I’m living alone, so I’m just trying to learn how to cook more, something I never really had to do living with both parents who like to cook. So it’s been something that I’ve been experimenting with, and had some mostly successes, some failures,”* Gauff said.

### **Looking Ahead to 2025**
After a fantastic 2023 season and a solid finish in 2024, Gauff is now gearing up for her **2025 campaign**, where she will make her **United Cup debut** for the USA. She spent Thanksgiving in Florida with family, reflecting on her growth as both a person and athlete.
