34-year-old ONE Championship welterweight MMA standout ‘Japanese Beast’ Hiroyuki Tetsuka is riding a wave of confidence befitting of a man on a five-fight winning streak.
Tetsuka’s current run extends as far back as his Nov. 2021 victory over Agilan Thani. Impressively, all five of his most recent victories have come inside the distance, including two knockouts and three submissions.
As such, the Japanese star believes no man can defeat him in MMA competition. Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Tetsuka explained the reason behind his confidence.
‘Japanese Beast’ said:
“In terms of MMA, my striking, takedowns, and submissions are working together more smoothly now. I feel my MMA-specific skills have really improved. I’m confident I won’t lose to anyone in MMA.”
‘Japanese Beast’ Hiroyuki Tetsuka is set to lock horns with Australian-Tongan ‘Doxz’ Isi Fitikefu at ONE 168: Denver, which broadcasts live from the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado on Friday, Sept. 6.
Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all the action live and absolutely free on Amazon Prime Video. Tickets are still available in limited capacity on Ticketmaster.
