Mason Greenwood Prioritizes La Liga Move as Valencia Bids £25m
Mason Greenwood has reportedly made an extended stay in La Liga his transfer “priority”, with Valencia putting a £25m ($32m) bid to Manchester United.
Forward Starred on Loan at Getafe
Greenwood impressed during his loan spell at Getafe, scoring 10 goals in 36 appearances. His performances have caught the attention of several clubs across Europe.
Interest from Top European Clubs
While Valencia has made a formal offer, it falls short of Manchester United’s valuation. Serie A giants Juventus are closer to meeting the asking price with a bid that could reach £40 million ($51m). Juventus is leading the chase ahead of Napoli and Lazio.
Spain: Greenwood’s Preferred Destination
According to The Mirror, the 22-year-old forward has informed his representatives that “his priority is Spain,” with a “concrete offer” from Valencia being confirmed. Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are also reportedly interested in securing Greenwood’s services.
United’s Stance
Manchester United is expected to sanction a permanent departure for Greenwood at some stage. If no deal is agreed upon early in the summer window, Greenwood will return to England for pre-season training, though he is unlikely to play for United again.
