Filipino-American Muay Thai star Jackie Buntan brought out every technique in her bag during her catchweight (131 pounds) Muay Thai bout with fierce rival Amber Kitchen at ONE on Prime Video 5 in December 2022 inside the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.
Buntan and Kitchen first fought in November 2017 during their time in the amateur scene, where ‘AK 47’ emerged with the split decision win.
Looking to exact her long-awaited revenge against the Bad Company product in front of her Filipino brethren, Buntan’s flawless striking display led to her winning via unanimous decision.
In her next fight, the Boxing Works star produced her first finish under the ONE banner with a first-round TKO of Australian standout Diandra Martin in May 2023. Buntan followed that up with a well-rounded showing against Martine Michieletto this past March at ONE Fight Night 20.
Buntan will next face French-Algerian legend Anissa Meksen over the inaugural ONE women’s strawweight kickboxing world championship at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. ‘Reug Reug’ on Nov. 8 inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

With Anissa Meksen having the advantage of experience on her side, Jackie Buntan knows she will have to be extremely aggressive against ‘C18’ at ONE 169.
In an interview with ONE, the 27-year-old Buntan shared:
“But yeah, I expect, as corny as it is, I do expect it to be a super entertaining fight with back-and-forth action. I just think there’s going to be more action on my end.”
